Meet Our Founder — Brad Weinbrum

Founder & Chief Transformation Officer

For more than 25 years, Brad has earned a reputation as a successful leader, trusted advisor, and transformation wizard — most notably guiding ABB Optical Group from a $23M business to a $1.3B market leader over a 19-year executive tenure. Today he brings that same people-first playbook to keynote stages, boardrooms, and the leaders he advises through Nivalmi.

He believes people are the heart of every organization. By putting the right people in the right roles, empowering them to grow, and providing clear structure, he transforms businesses into accountable, profitable organizations built for sustainable success. From the boardroom to the warehouse, he simplifies complex issues and motivates teams to change how they think, work, and lead.

Passionate about people. Proud Florida Gator alumnus.

A Core Belief

100% accountability, 100% of the time.

Brad's leadership rests on a non-negotiable principle: 100% accountability, 100% of the time - from the front line to the corner office, and from himself first. It is the foundation every strong culture, every clean operating cadence, and every durable result is built on.

Over 25+ years he has refined a time-tested system for holding others accountable without breaking trust. Clear expectations. Visible commitments. Honest, direct conversations on a predictable rhythm. The result is a team that knows what they own, knows how they will be measured, and knows their leader will follow through - every single time.

"Accountability isn't a moment. It's a discipline you practice on a calendar."

That discipline became Brad's Best — a simple, repeatable system for holding teams accountable without breaking trust.

A Defining Chapter

The transformation of ABB Optical Group.

Employees across the U.S.

In 1989, Angel Alvarez began what is now known as The ABB Optical Group. Ten years later, he met Brad at a Vistage meeting. Through a series of collaborative sessions, they came to believe the evolution of the office supply space could serve as a model to elevate efficiencies in the optical space. The transformation of ABB Optical began.

19 years later, ABB had grown from a $23M business to a $1.3B market leader employing hundreds of workers across the U.S. - as an optical manufacturer, distributor, and provider of business services and solutions.

Brad's initial goal was simple: pay for himself by implementing what he saw as low hanging fruit. He developed a list before his official start date - and generated sustainable income that more than paid for his expense within his first 90 days. That same formula was used to expand the rest of management and most of the sales teams.

Authenticity, transparency, and communication became hallmark characteristics of Brad's leadership style. He stayed consistently clear on the goals and the importance of execution - earning credibility through early wins and building a culture of trust, open communication, and accountability that ABB carried into every organization it acquired.

In Their Words

The people who worked with him.

"
The biggest obstacle Brad had to overcome was what he calls 'the end around.' As Brad implemented the necessary changes, several employees had the tendency to try to work around the changes. Brad preempted the behavior by aligning the rest of the management team to direct them back to him. Dealing with this predictable behavior upfront allowed the entire organization to be aligned and signaled that we were serious about the changes that needed to be made.

"
Brad was always actively involved in every aspect of our business. He wanted to understand beyond just the numbers, regularly joining live sales calls, listening to customer service calls, and visiting the distribution center. His open-door policy was real. He cared deeply about team members and connected with them personally and professionally. It is this level of caring, passion and excitement in people that motivated our company to be the best we could be.
